Geeta has had a long love affair with the mountains she has chosen to depict in her work.
A lifetime spent studying the Himalaya has given Geeta an intimate knowledge of the
majesty and capriciousness of nature and it is these emotions that Geeta communicates through her series of mountainscapes.
A self taught artist. She has chosen to work in oils, wielding her palette knife with confidence at a time when many artists are forsaking the medium in favor of working with acrylics.
Working through the limitation of the medium, Geeta presents a series which clearly demonstrates her intimacy, not only with her subject but with her medium.
